About the Active Group of Companies
The Active Group of Companies’ many ventures are constructed as a fully-integrated and full-service real estate concern with an impressive synergy of resources in architecture, planning, land development, construction, sales & marketing and insurance.
The Group promises its lot buyers a quality of life that goes beyond shelter. More than providing a roof above their heads, it also gives importance to the environment, making it a point to help in preserving national resources as seen through its projects that promote sustainability. This, paired with a drive for innovation, is what assures Active Group clients of a life well-lived in clean and secured communities.
At the helm of the Active Group of Companies is a management team of hands-on men and women of exceptional vision and proven track records. Their style of leadership serves as inspiration for the entire conglomerate, including its network of accredited real estate brokers, to deliver quality and value in service to its clients.
Since its beginnings in 1970, the Active Group of Companies has steadily forged a sterling reputation in the real estate industry. Its full range of successful endeavors covers economic, socialized and middle-income housing to urban high rises to resort & leisure communities like the world-class Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club and Residential Estates, Porto Laiya, and Mozzafiato.
The Active Group of Companies include the following:
- Active Realty and Development Corporation
- Active Construction, Inc.
- Turalba & Associates
- San Agustin Realty, Inc.
- Active Land Estate Sales, Inc.
The first three letters of the Active Group of Companies, A-C-T, represent not only the initials of the founders, but also indicate the dynamism of their management style.
The Active Group of Companies began as a partnership between the husband-and-wife team of Antonio A. Turalba Sr., and Maria Cristina V. Turalba, when they set up their own architectural design firm in 1970. More than 50 years later, the Active Group of Companies has grown into a multi-billion-peso real estate conglomerate that has built town houses, buildings, condominiums, subdivisions, and resort & leisure communities. And with projects that add up to more than 2,000 hectares of raw land, the Active Group of Companies continues to grow as a dynamic and formidable player in the field of quality real estate development.
The group’s philosophy is embodied in unity, each team player’s invaluable contribution to the corporation, and service excellence in all aspects of the real estate business.
At the core of this continuing success is a vision that inspires the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of the Active Group of Companies: that of delivering a quality of life that goes beyond shelter. It is a vision that continues to build not only homes, but also creates better lifestyles and communities for the Filipino.
Innovation and a concern for the environment are guideposts which help the Active Group of Companies envision and execute its projects. The Active Group of Companies sees to it that property owners enjoy a quality of life that goes beyond shelter. That’s why every project respects the natural surroundings, without leveling hills, uprooting trees or impeding the direction and flow of waterways. Thus, clients are assured of clean, healthy and safe communities, along with peace of mind and protection of their investments.
The Active Group of Companies, through the initiative of its founders, introduced trendsetting innovations now copied widely in the Philippine real estate industry.
Like the concept of a short-term “maintenance support fund” to augment the maintenance expenses of a completed Active development. A brainchild of Architect Antonio A. Turalba Sr., the Trust Fund was first applied in The Arcadia, a luxury residential development in the prime Ortigas commercial area. As envisioned, this “maintenance support fund” would come from the income of an amount set aside by the Group to initially assist homeowner or club members by minimizing association or club dues, as well as helping pay for the costs of security services, street lighting, garbage collection and the maintenance of common areas in an Active Group of Companies development.
Another is the concept of “Park In Every Block”. These open spaces are a creative and modern expression of the old Filipino tradition of tambayan – by providing homeowners a venue for socializing and convenient playgrounds for children. Also, these environmentally-correct “patches of green” provide renewable sources of cool shade and clean air for the subdivision residents.
